A women with beautiful skin after chemical peel treatment

Chemical Peels

A chemical peel is a method of applying various medical grade chemicals to the skin that result in exfoliation.  Depending on the depth of peel, you can expect improvement in irregular skin tone and texture, pigmentary disorders, superficial lines, wrinkles and acne.  This allows your skin to look and feel softer, smoother and more radiant.  The depth of the peel is dependent on the concentration, type of acid and a person’s skin type and sensitivity.  Peels may range from little to no downtime and up to 7 days following procedure. Chemical peels take approximately 60 minutes for the aesthetician to perform.

Types of chemical peels offered at Dermatology Associates of SWLA:

  • Glycolic Acid
  • Lactic Acid
  • Salicylic Acid
  • Jessner
  • Modified Jessners
  • TCA
  • Apeele®- hybrid peel
